This was an exciting day! Today we performed our first show via Zoom! Our audience was a group of residents at University Gates in Waterloo, Canada.
We had been putting together a set list that included songs that we thought the residents would enjoy. Our parents helped us come up with that list since a lot of them were songs we hadn't really heard before! When we talked to the administrators to set up the show, we asked if any of the residents had any special song requests, and they got back to us asking if we could include You Are My Sunshine, and Sweet Caroline. We were happy to include those in the show!
Here is the set list from today...
1. It's A Small World
2. You Are My Sunshine
3. Do Re Mi
4. Yellow Submarine
5. Mamma Mia
6. Sweet Caroline
7. Que Sera Sera
8. Rumba (instrumental guitar song)
10. Somewhere Over The Rainbow
11. La Bamba
We were a little nervous when the show began, because the audience was pretty big, and we wanted them to enjoy the song choices. A few seconds in, we felt a lot more comfortable because we could see that they were enjoying the music! Several residents were clapping along, and smiling as we were singing. All in all, it was a great first show, and we look forward to seeing the residents of University Gates soon!
