We learned Goodbye Yellow Brick Road by Elton John as our new song for this latest setlist. It's our first time learning an Elton John song, and we liked the lyrics and the music. It was released in 1973 and uses a lot of references from The Wizard of Oz. The meaning of it is nice too, suggesting that while life may take you to big and fancy places, it's nice to get back to your roots and to your childhood memories. Going back to a simpler life can make you happy too. It's a really nice song, and we're glad we chose to learn it. Here's a clip of us singing it this morning:
