So many studies have show that music is very therapeutic for those with memory care issues. Certain songs can trigger memories buried way deep in the brain, and bring such joy and alertness. Many folks living with Dementia can recall and sing lyrics when played music that they were once familiar with. We love seeing this when we perform for folks living with Dementia. It is the reason we continue to do this, and look for great songs from the past to entertain them with. With the holiday season coming up, we know that a lot of these carols are familiar to so many, and we're enjoying seeing the reactions from our audience members!
