We love Frank Sinatra, and we know our Day Program audience does too. Today we sang High Hopes for our friends. It's a catchy song with a great message. It was written for a movie called A Hole In The Head from 1959. It is a very motivational song, and the lyrics are just plain fun! So many studies have shown that music has a positive impact on those with cognitive decline, such as those with Dementia, or other memory issues. Often when these people lose other verbal communication skill, music somehow allows them to respond in other ways. We see this often when our audience starts tapping toes and clapping hands.
