This Wednesday morning, we performed for the Cambridge, Kitchener and Waterloo Day Programs. We played a new song this week called ‘High Hopes’ by Frank Sinatra. Jimmy Van Heusen and Sammy Cahn wrote this song, along with many others, that Sinatra recorded. This song won an Oscar for Best Original Song. Sinatra sang this song during John F. Kennedy’s successful presidential run in 1960, and it became Kennedy’s campaign song. We loved the lyrics and the message of the song, and thought it would be a fun one to sing for our audience!
